MAN APPEARS BEFORE COURT FOR RAPE AND ROBBERY
A 41-year-old Motswana man, Tumelo Thebe of Mosanta ward in Mochudi appeared before Broadhurst Magistrate Court today (04/06/2020) charged with two counts of Rape and another two counts of Robbery.
Both offences are alleged to have been committed at Kopong on the 2nd June 2020.
According to the charge sheet read before Court, the accused person was found in possession of cell phones and clothing believed to be those of the victims. He was also found in possession of cash which he failed to account for.
The accused is remanded in prison and will appear again on the 6th July 2020.
Meanwhile, the accused is also assisting Mochudi Police in the investigation of similar cases.
